How we work

Engagements typically start with a free assessment, then a plan, then support. Here is what each step involves.

The process

Step 1: Request a free assessment

Email us or call us. Tell us about your organization and we'll schedule a discovery call at your convenience — no commitment required.

Step 2: We assess and plan

Our team conducts a thorough security assessment of your network, devices, and practices. We identify vulnerabilities and prioritize risks, then present you with a clear, jargon-free report.

Step 3: We implement and support

We deploy security tools, harden your systems, train your staff, and set up monitoring. Every service is free or pay-what-you-can, so cost does not decide whether your organization gets help. We remain available for ongoing questions and support after implementation.

Timelines and costs

The initial assessment typically takes 1-2 weeks depending on the size of your organization and network. After that, we discuss findings with your team and prioritize the most critical issues. Implementation timelines vary by service, but most foundational security improvements can be completed within 30-60 days.

Every service is free or pay-what-you-can, so cost does not decide whether your organization gets help.

Who you work with

We will work with whoever you designate as your point of contact. Many of the nonprofits we work with have no dedicated IT staff, and we handle the technical implementation ourselves and explain everything in plain language.

What information we ask for

We collect only the information you choose to provide: name, email address, organization, and the content of the message you send. Please do not submit passwords, health information, financial information, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information. Read our privacy policy for how we handle what you send us.
